This kitchen was designed and handmade for a family living in a Victorian property in Glasgow.
Unable to find what they were looking for from the mass production kitchen retailers, the owners of this house approached me to see if I could produce some alternative designs that incorporated all of their requirements.
They were looking for a modern kitchen with a simple and clean design, but with hidden complexity. The cabinets concealed a number of kitchen appliances as well as recycling storage. A large double door pantry was built into the end wall cabinets, with food storage in dovetailed oak boxes, wide interior shelves and door shelving.
Cabinet frames and interiors were constructed from solid oak, with the larger slab doors with unique cutaway handles made using a high grade book matched veneer to ensure stability.
