Steamer Trunk 1 - Medicine Cabinet

Inside this trunk there are **(see note 1) secret compartments. Some are fairly straightforward to access, others are less so and one requires you to first find the secret compartments hidden in the other two trunks in order to open it.

When the trunk is closed it looks identical to the others in the series. To gain access, you untie the rope from the brass cleat and pull the rope. A hidden medicine cabinet then rises from within. The mechanism is assisted with 18kgs of lead counter- weights.

Once open you need to follow certain procedures to gain access to each drawer. To help you keep track of which drawers you have found there is a handmade wooden jigsaw piece hidden in each. Only when the jigsaw is complete will you know you have found them all.

Note 1, I agreed early on with the clients that I would not tell them how to access the drawers until they asked me to. Three months have passed since handing them over and so far they have located 17 compartments. There are an undisclosed number still to find....
