Shaker Kitchen

Our third kitchen was built for clients in Milngavie. The layout of this kitchen was a wee bit challenging with 3.5m x 3.5m floor space and a door on three walls with a window on the fourth! The clients were looking for a traditional shaker style kitchen in painted and oiled oak, with oiled solid wood interiors. The kitchen was constructed entirely of solid oak from trees felled to make way for the new Forth bridge crossing. Traditional butt hinges and wood on wood sliding doors were used, with the highest quality hidden soft close drawer runners available to ensure smooth action even with heavily laden oak dovetailed pan drawers. This kitchen commission included the fitting out of a small pantry with wine and food storage.
